Article: Airbrushing
I have always enjoyed painting on canvass and paper, mostly in two mediums: acrylics and watercolor. I used to read about airbrushing so towards the end of last year I decided to get one and give it a try. As far as woodworking projects are concerned, I often use acrylics, and of course canned spray paints. Although one can achieve fairly good results with spray paints, by blending colors while still wet, an airbrush allows you to take merging of various colors to a different level, for a truly professional result. I also like the fact that I can spray with water-based paints and inks, and avoid the ghastly fumes resulting from using canned spray paints.
